We recently made changes to metrics on the Reports and Sequences dashboards. The metrics have been updated to provide more useful and actionable insights for users. With these new metrics, users can better understand and measure how sequences and team members perform more accurately.

Sequences Dashboard

The Sequences dashboard will now show message activity, today’s activity, and this week’s activity.

The message activity on the left side will show data for today, tomorrow, and this week so you can get a better sense of how many messages are sending out on a daily and weekly basis.

Instead of seeing “30 days at a glance”, data for “Today’s Activity” and “This Week’s Activity” will appear and show the following information:

  • Number of lookups used

  • Number of contacts added

  • Number of replies received

  • Number of meetings booked

This data is in real-time so it’ll always stay updated. This data is also user-specific so each team member will see different numbers appear on their Sequences dashboard. To see how many lookups are left on the current billing period at a team level, you can navigate to the billing panel.

Reports Dashboard

The Reports dashboard will now show two funnels of data on the top left, one based on contacts added and the other based on messages sent. Image 2019-01-31 at 3.52.33 PM

The metrics below are based on when the contact was added:

  • Number of contacts added

  • Number of contacts messaged

  • Number of contacts who opened the messages

  • Number of contacts who replied

  • Number of meetings booked

The goal of these new metrics are to help answer the following questions for users:

  • How many contacts were sourced and added within a specified time frame?

  • Of those added, how many were messaged within that specified time frame?

  • Of those messaged, how many contacts opened those emails within that specified time frame?

  • Of those messaged, how many contacts replied within that specified time frame?

  • How many meetings were booked in that specified timeframe?

The metrics below are based on the date messages were sent:

  • Total number of messages sent

  • Number of initial messages sent

  • Number of follow-up messages sent

  • Number of sent messages that bounced

  • Number of sent messages that were opened

The goal of these metrics will help answer the following questions for users:

  • How many messages were sent within the specified time frame?

  • Of the messages sent, how many of those are initial messages?

  • Of the messages sent, how many of those are follow-ups?

  • Of the messages sent, how many of those are bounces?

  • Of the messages sent, how many of those were opened?

The metrics in the Reports dashboard will now be two separate funnels, one based on when contacts were added and the other based on the total number of messages sent. The previous metrics weren’t very accurate since they were based on when contacts were last messaged so contacts would move along with the date every time they were sent messages. This made the data hard to understand and interpret because metrics weren’t based on a fixed variable so they didn’t remain consistent. With the new metrics being based off when the contact was added and the total number of messages sent, the funnels make more sense now and will show more consistent and accurate data.

For the contacts added funnel, there will likely be an increase in the number of contacts opened, messaged, and meetings booked when looking at reports at a later time. This is especially true if contacts open, reply, or book meetings at a later time frame than when they were initially messaged.

For the messages sent funnel, all numbers in the funnel except for messages opened will increase over time as contacts open messages at a later date. The rest of the numbers in the funnel will remain the same since these numbers are instantaneous.

Measuring and understanding metrics in the Reports dashboard…

The new metrics in the Reports dashboard will now allow you to measure the following information:

  • Quality of contacts being sourced by the team member

  • Performance of emails in terms of how many are being opened and replied to messages and how many meetings are being booked

  • Whether sequences are generating more replies and booked meetings over time

  • How team members and sequences are performing at a more granular level

  • Volume of sent messages at a granular level

  • Compare performances of team members or sequences at different time periods to see if there’s common trends or patterns
